COPIES OF OIL PAINTINGS
For my oil painting copies on canvas, I always prepare my own painting support using high-quality linen canvas, which I stretch onto wooden stretchers and secure with nails.
I also create my own ground layer, an emulsion made from natural rabbit glue, chalk, linseed oil, and dammar resin. When painting, I use either high-quality ready-made oil paints or handmade paints, which I prepare by mixing pigments with linseed oil. As a binder, I use a combination of linseed oil and dammar resin.
My painting process begins with an underdrawing, followed by a monochromatic underpainting, before proceeding with full-color application.
